Snoring and Failishness
Attempt No. 1:
Yesung’s eyes snapped open as the snoring began once again. He glanced at the alarm clock on his bedside table. 2.00 am. He groaned.
Right, Heechul said to roll you over and you’d stop. He was slightly sceptical about this theory but Heechul had seemed so confident. And by this point he was of course willing to try anything. He slowly maneuvered his way out of Kangin’s grasp using a variety of strange bodily movements he didn’t know he was capable of. It reminded him vaguely of a snake as he finally slithered off the bottom of the bed and had to restrain himself from yelling out in triumph. He moved over to Kangin’s side of the bed and tried to work out the best method to use for rolling the monster truck over.
He stood there for a moment and then inwardly scolded himself for not being more creative before finally settling on the old school method. He placed one hand on Kangin’s shoulder, the other on his thigh and just pushed.
He pushed and Kangin rolled. Perhaps that was a little too far he thought vaguely as he watched his boyfriend roll slowly off the side of the bed and disappear, hitting the floor with a resounding thump. The snores stopped.
Okay. It’s quiet. For the first time in over two weeks it’s finally quiet at 2 in the morning. He spread his limbs as far as possible and lay there like a starfish.
I should probably check if he’s okay. He thought five minutes later as he started to feel cold from the lack of warmth. The duvet had rolled off with Kangin earlier.
“Err...Kangin? Kangin are you okay?” No answer. Yesung was starting to get slightly worried now. “Kangin, You awake?” There was still no answer. He wiggled slightly and turned to look over the edge of the mattress. “Kangin?”
And then it happened. The epic roars of his still sleeping boyfriend started up again. Yesung stared incredulously at the younger man. He seemed to have created a little nest for himself on the floor with the pillows and was so tangled in the duvet Yesung couldn’t think of any scenario where he wouldn’t fall over when he tries to get up.
Groaning, the older singer collapsed back onto the bed and curled into a ball, hoping that perhaps he won’t contract frost bite before dawn...although, it was winter. He closed his eyes, gave up on the idea of sleep and started thinking of what to tell Kangin when he wakes up in the morning and asks why he’s on the floor.
Attempt No. 2:
Herbal tea...Siwon said that herbal tea would help. Cleanse the body and help the breathing or whatever. Yesung sighed as he picked up the mug, took a deep breath and walked to the living room.
“Kangin” he received an indifferent grunt in response. He sighed again and placed the mug on the coffee table, making a louder sound than he expected. I really should learn to control my strength. Kangin looked up with an expression of confusion.
“You okay Yesungie?”
“Yes! Just drink your herbal tea will you, then we can go to bed,” He snapped back.
Okay, that was slightly passive aggressive. Kangin looked at him and then glanced at the mug in front of him as if it was poisoned.
“Siwon gave it to me,” Yesung continued in what he hoped was a calmer tone. “You’ll like it I promise.” The younger man seemed to relax, shrugged and then reached for the drink. Yesung sat down next to him, trying so hard to make sure Kangin wouldn’t notice how desperately he was staring at the mug as he watched him swallow the hopefully life-saving liquid. Unfortunately the singer hadn’t noticed the suspicious sideways glances he had been receiving.
“You sure you’re okay?” Kangin asked yet again as he put the now empty mug back on the coffee table. “It’s just that you’ve been acting kinda strange recently and Leeteuk was asking if there was anything wrong.”
“Talking about me were you?” Oh my God when did I become so paranoid?
“Stop being so paranoid.” Crap he noticed.
“Sorry, I’m just really tired.” Yesung sank further into the couch and smiled when he felt Kangin’s arms snake itself around his waist.
“Tired? Maybe I should stop my midnight visits then.” Yes, yes you should. Then maybe I’ll be able to get rid of these bags under my eyes which are ruining my lovely face.
“No.” Damn, why do I love him so much? Kangin laughed and wrapped his arms tighter around the older man.
“Good. Maybe we should go to bed then if you’re so tired” he whispered.
It had seemed like it was working. For almost twenty minutes it had really seemed like it was working. It was so much quieter than usual, just Kangin’s shallow breathing and the sounds of Donghae’s giggling coming from the Kihae room and that wasn’t a problem. Hell that was basically silence considering what he’s been putting up with recently.
Obviously the bliss was short-lived. This is Yesung we’re talking about.
It was half 3 and he was lying in bed, Kangin cuddled up to his side, snoring loudly into his ear. It was far from romantic. In fact Yesung was currently thinking of as many ways as possible to lock Kangin out of the room. Although considering he could probably break the door down it would seem to be a pretty useless task.
